In this seminar participants examine strategies for recruiting based on industry, culture, and strategic vision. The current organizational recruiting culture will be assessed to determine the fit with future direction. Participants will also assess core organizational competencies and the effectiveness of the current performance management process. In addition, this seminar will train participants on how to effectively market the organization to a global or local community through concise sourcing strategies.

Lesson 1: Making Your Business More Attractive to Employees and Potential Employees

  • Identify your target markets
  • Utilize testimonials
  • What are your competitors doing?
  • Identify where your target market is spending time online
  • Highlight organization’s diversity efforts

Lesson 2: Utilize Your Internal/External Resources for Sourcing

  • Mine your sales staff’s network for talent
  • Contact your counterparts in the industry
  • Develop deep recruiter networks
  • Utilize diversity media outlets

Lesson 3: Conduct an Internal Organizational Culture Assessment

  • Do employees “like” working there?
  • Where are the gaps which need to be closed?
  • Implement an organizational development plan to leverage your strengths to attract talent

Lesson 4: Train the Staff to Recruit

  • Train staff in effective recruiting practices
  • Send staff from their area of expertise to national conferences to recruit talent
  • Hire diversity and allow them to “tell their stories” for social media recruiting outlets
